Angelica Plum
Among plum varieties, Angelica is considered one of the larger types. It has a round shape that is slightly flattened on the top and bottom, with a distinct central groove, pointed blossom end, and an asymmetrical form. The skin is purple with speckles. The flesh is yellow, firm, and separates easily from the pit. It can be stored in cold storage facilities until February or March. When harvested later, its flavor quality increases. On average, the fruit is 50 mm wide, 40 mm long, and weighs approximately 75 grams.
Harvest Season
The ideal harvest time is when the fruit reaches full size and color on the tree, becomes sweet, and the flesh turns crisp. This stage is suitable for harvesting fruit intended for nearby markets. For distant markets, harvesting is done earlier. Harvest time is determined by changes in skin color, firmness of the flesh, soluble solids content, or the number of days since full bloom.
