Avocado
In Turkey, approximately 75–80% of avocado production takes place in Antalya, 15–20% in Mersin, and the remaining 2–5% in other provinces such as Muğla and Hatay.
Harvest Season
Although still limited in scale, avocado production in Turkey includes several varieties with distinct harvesting periods:
Bright and smooth-skinned varieties: harvested around September 15
Bacon and Zutano: around October 15
Ettinger: around November 1
Fuerte: around December 1
Pinkerton: around January 1
Hass: around January 15
