Ginger
Ginger requires a tropical climate to grow. However, it should only be exposed to sunlight for about 2 to 5 hours a day; more than that is known to be harmful. Although these characteristics suggest that it could be cultivated in the Aegean and Mediterranean regions of Turkey, this is not the case in practice. In Turkey, ginger is more suitable for greenhouse cultivation. This allows for controlled humidity, light, and temperature—essential for the plant’s healthy growth.
Harvest Time
Ginger typically requires 8 to 9 months to be ready for harvest. However, it can be harvested as early as the 6th month.
