California Pepper
California pepper is sweeter than green peppers and contains no heat. It is a variety that is extremely rich in vitamin C. In fully ripened California peppers, vitamin C helps maximize the development of carotenoids. As the levels of vitamin C and carotenoids increase, the vegetable’s antioxidant capacity also reaches its highest point. Our peppers are rich in vitamin C and have a high level of antioxidants.
Harvest Season
The harvest time for peppers varies depending on the variety’s earliness as well as growing and care conditions. Therefore, harvesting should be done once the peppers have developed properly.
Delaying the harvest can reduce quality, so fruits should be picked when they reach their standard size. California peppers are usually left on the plant until they are fully red, then harvested in 1 or 2 rounds.
It is important to harvest early in the morning or late in the afternoon for best results.
